He currently is a state senator representing the First Essex County, including Haverhill, Newburyport, Amesbury, Merrimac, Methuen, North Andover, precincts 1, 4, 6 and 8, and Salisbury.

Richard D'Agostino received his Juris Doctorate Degree at Massachusetts School of Law in 1996. He currently has his own private practice and is the Assistant City Attorney for the City of Lawrence Law Department.
